Once again, Mushrooms Canada are headed to Toronto for the 2014 Gourmet Food & Wine Expo!

Running from Thursday November 20th through Sunday November 23rd, the Expo has a ton to offer. Celebrity Chef Lynn Crawford will be entertaining the Food Network Cooking Stage, you can learn all about wine with 18 Tutored Tastings or you can simply come sample the best that Toronto has to offer!

Make sure to stop by Mushrooms Canada’s booth, Booth #333, for a mouthwatering sample of Blended Mushroom-Beef Taco Bites. While you’re there, make sure you grab our brown paper bags, recipe booklets, and a ballot to enter to win a T-Fal Hot Spot Frying Pan. We will be tweeting while at the show, so be sure to follow @MushroomsCanada on Twitter, as well as the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo and use the hashtag #GFWE!

We’ll also be on the Food Network Cooking Stage! Join us Saturday November 22nd at 2:00pm for all things mushrooms and a special mouthwatering sample.

    I love using mushrooms for my noodle soup I make. Not only I put the mushrooms into the veggies stock I prepare, I always top off the soup noodles with strips of various types of mushrooms. It is a great replacement for days I am not into meat.

    I love mushrooms with everything! My favorite recipe in particular is porkchops sautéed in cream of mushroom! It's my mom's go-to recipe for a quick & yummy meal – we also add mushrooms to our spaghetti! Thanks for the chance to win id love to go to the GFWE on Sunday!

    Scalloped potatoes gratin with in between each layers some boletus mushrooms and creme fraiche !! It melts in your mouth… With a nice full body French red wine, this is perfect to get curled up in a ball on the floor because you ate too much 🙂

    my fave mushroom recipe is very very simple. Melt tablespoon of butter in a saucepan, throw in some chopped garlic, green onions, cayenne pepper, toss mushrooms (any kind!) in and stir til mushrooms are tender and turn off heat. Squeeze a slice of lemon on top. Eat!
