Canadian Food Bloggers We Love: Ginger Rose

How did you get into food blogging?
Just over two years ago I was in University majoring in Theatre Studies when I was assigned to plot out a 5-year business plan for a Theatre Business class. We were encouraged to take this assignment seriously to use it as a starting point for ourselves to get our careers going. Unsure of whether I still wanted to pursue acting, I decided to plot out my business plan with the intention of pursuing one of my all-time dream jobs, hosting a show on the Food Network. The first step in my business plan was to start a food blog, and that I did! My blog has turned into so much more than just a stepping stone on the way to achieve my career goals, as it’s become one of my greatest creative outlets allowing me to express not only my extreme love of food, but other passions like photography, graphic design, music, and has even broadened my social circle. I was amazed by how my food blog had introduced me to so many new people who shared my passion, as well as reconnect with old friends and acquaintances.
What is your ultimate foodie fantasy?
Woah baby! With an imagination as wild as mine the food fantasies are endless! But one fantasy that I keep finding myself daydreaming of is to have a food travel show where I travel the world learning about different cultures through food. I would get to go into peoples homes and learn first-hand how to create authentic dishes, and sit down with their family and friends to enjoy them! And because this is my ultimate fantasy, I would also have different co-hosts that I would rotate through, everyone from my best friend, to Ina Garten, to Ryan Gosling!…and heck while were at it, Alexander McQueen would come back to life to design my entire wardrobe for the show!
