FBC2014 Blend & Extend Recipes
We had a wonderful time taking part in this year’s Food Bloggers of Canada Conference in Vancouver. The conference blended the excitement of seeing old friends, the thrill of meeting new friends and the satisfying feeling of always being ready for more delicious food.
Blend & Extend, a partnership between Mushrooms Canada and Ontario Beef fit the bill perfectly at FBC2014. It combines the health benefits that we look all for when preparing meals for our families, with the practical elements of extending portion size, maintaining flavour and reducing costs.
We were able to share the concept in the best way possible- through the food! The Saturday night meal featured a Blend & Extend Braised Beef Cheek & Portabella Mushroom Ravioli with Beer Consommé, as well as a Braised Short-Rib & Mushroom Gratin. Many of you were asking for the recipes, and lucky us, Chef Ned Bell of the Four Seasons was happy to share. Click the links below for the full recipes!

The highlight of our time at FBC2014 came when we were able to share our Blogger Testimonial Video featuring some very familiar faces, a couple of who were even in attendance. We are very proud of our continuing relationship with these outstanding bloggers and felt that they shared our message better than we ever could.
For those of you who want to watch the blooper reel over and over again, and for those of you who were not able to attend, we’re housing the video online just for you! It’s now available any time of day or night, perfect for those late night moments when you’re missing FBC2014 the most. Enjoy the video below and see you next year in Montreal at FBC2015!
What was your highlight of FBC2014?
