After a whirl-wind, successful Day 1 at The Hot Plate in Toronto, we couldn’t wait for our second day of shooting to start! The team dove right in and got the ball rolling bright and early with Brittany and I snapping photos over their shoulders along the way.
This is a day that we’ve been looking forward to for so long now! Brittany and I are in Toronto shooting some new recipe photos and cooking videos with Ontario Beef at The Hot Plate. Braving the road closures and this ‘polar vortex‘ that we’re in, nothing was going to stop us from these exciting two days.
What a busy and exciting weekend Mushrooms Canada had at the Toronto Gourmet Food & Wine Expo! All weekend long, we were sauteing Fresh Ontario Crimini Mushrooms in Olive Oil and Italian Seasoning to nearly 50,000 hungry people!
This past Friday, Brittany and I were able to get away from our computers for the day to attend the 25th Annual Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards. This beautiful event recognizes retailers in Ontario who take pride in their product, proudly displaying the good things that grow in Ontario.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by some of our friends at Foodland, while introducing ourselves to the less-familiar faces around the reception room. The room quickly filled with attendees and with the fabulous aromas of the tasty appetizers! One of my favourites, of course, was this dish made with King Oyster Mushrooms- they were cooked perfectly too!
The last in our series, today we chat about the sunshine vegetable! We visited farmer Murray Good at Whitecrest Mushroom Farm in Putnam, Ontario. Foodland Ontario was along for the visit and captured some great video! So far you have seen:
